Questions

  • Will students get to perform on stage?
    Yes! Dancers enrolled in class will be able to showcase their talents by performing a dance routine during our Recital! Dancers on our company team perform in Competitions, Recital, and have additional Performances within our local community events, Workshops, and Walt Disney World.
  • Is there a dress code?
    Yes! Miss Chris School of Dance does have a dress code! Please note the following: ALL dancers must wear a leotard/sports bra and tights at all times; pink tights are required for ALL Ballet classes. Leggings with a Crop Top (Exceptions for Hip Hop). Dancers are required to wear their hair back in a tight bun (for Ballet) or ponytail in ALL classes. Boys: any color dance pant and form fitting shirt, hair must be out of face and proper shoes. Dancers are required to have their proper shoes, hair, and attire ready before the start of class. No excessive jewelry. Street shoes are not allowed in the dance room.
  • When can my dancer start classes?
    Miss Chris School of Dance accepts students ages 3-adult. If your child is less than 3 years of age, he/she is required to be potty-trained and able to leave Mommy or Daddy for at least an hour. (You may view your child from the waiting room)
  • How long does each dance season last?
    Our Dance Year begins in September (the day after Labor Day) and runs until Recital, which is the 2nd Saturday in June. (This could be anywhere from the 8th to the 14th of June). We offer summer courses to our Student Teachers during our Student Teacher Training Program. (Always the last FULL WEEK OF JULY-Monday thru Friday) See our 2024/2025 Schedule/Calendar.
